Overview

ezCAM's Dimension module is able to mark distance, diameters, radius, angles and coordinates in the layout

Demonstrations

Demonstration: mark distance from point to point

Open Dimension

• In Graphic Editor window, select " Rout "，then select " Dimension "

Open Layer

• In the layer list on the left，click a layer to open

Mark distance from point to point

• Adjust screen display to the target area

• Open Snapping Control, select " Edge "。

• select 。

• Click two points to be measured

• Measure results is displayed in grey color, drag mouse to adjust location to mark the distance

• Double click to confirm the mark location，the point to point distance is now marked in the layout

Demonstration: mark radius

Open Dimension

• In Graphic Editor window, select " Rout "，then select " Dimension "

Open Layer

• In the layer list on the left，click a layer to open

Mark Radius

• Adjust screen display to the target area

• Open Snapping Control，select " Center "。

• Click 。

• Select a round feature to be measured

• Click on the round feature, measure results is displayed in grey color, drag with mouse to adjust location

• Double click to confirm the mark location，the radius distance is now marked in the layout

Demonstration：Mark Diameter

Open Dimension

• In Graphic Editor window, select " Rout "，then select " Dimension "

>Open Layer

• In the layer list on the left，click a layer to open

Mark Diameter

• Adjust screen display to the target area

• Open Snapping Control, select " Center "。

• Click 。

• Select a round feature to be measured

• Click on the round feature, measure results is displayed in grey color, drag with mouse to adjust location

• Double click to confirm the mark location，the diameter distance is now marked in the layout

Demonstration: Mark Angles

Open Dimension

• In Graphic Editor window, select " Rout "，then select " Dimension "

>Open Layer

• In the layer list on the left，click a layer to open

Mark Angles

• Mark target should be an angle between two lines

• Open Snapping Control, select " Edge "。

• click 。

• select the two connected line features of the target angle

Click on each line, measure results is displayed in grey color, drag with mouse to adjust location

• Double click to confirm the mark location，the angle is now marked in the layout

Demonstration: Mark Cordinates

Open Dimension

• In Graphic Editor window, select " Rout "，then select " Dimension "

>Open Layer

• In the layer list on the left，click a layer to open

Mark Coordinates

• Adjust screen display to the target area

• Open Snapping Control，select " Center ", Mark cordinates also works with other snapping modes

• click 。

• Adjust screen display to the target area

• Click on the point to display coordinate results in grey color, drag with mouse to adjust location

• Double click to confirm the mark location，the cordinate is now marked in the layout

• Note：
  • X coordinate will be marked if the mark point is closer to y axis
  • Y coordinate will be marked if the mark point is closer to x axis

Dimension Parameters

Layer: Enter layer name to add mark

Mode: point to point only, four mark display mode available below

• Normal
• Aligned
• Serial
• Superimposed

Text Position: Set mark text position

Font: Choose mark text font

Text X size: Set mark text size on x axis

Text Y size: Set mark text size on y axis

Text width: Set mark text width

Text Prefix: Set mark text prefix

Text Suffix: Set mark text suffix

Text Unit: Set mark text unit: Inch or MM

Show Unit: Check to display init

Decimal: Set decimal display

Trimming Zero: Check to omit zero

Ext. Line: Check to add extension line to mark text and set it's length

Line Width: Set extension line width
