Netlist Analyzer Guide
Overview
-
Netlist Analyzer is used to create a netlist and compare it with original layout, it detects possible open/short errors to make sure correct net connections after editing
Pre-requisites
ODB++ file format is able to run netlist analyzer without additional setup
Demonstration
Open Netlist Analyzer
-
From Graphic Editor window, select Actions > Netlist Analyzer。
Check Analyze Parameters
Set up Job, Step and Netlist Type for analyzation
-
Fill in upper fields on Job, Step, Netlist type, in the demonstration "
CAD
" was selected as original layer
-
Fill in lower fields on Job, Step, Netlist type, in the demonstration "
Current
" was selected as edited layer
Note:drill holes without assigned attribute will be given PTH attribute (.drill=plated) by default
-
Tips:Use "
Register
" > "
Reduce To Center
", to align two layers when running netlist analyzer
Current Netlist
-
Create netlist based on current Step layout
-
$NPTH$[number]
: A serial number will be given to each NPTH holes in the layout for distinction
CAD Netlist
-
Netlist created by input Gerber IPC-356A or ODB++ file format
Undefined Net Name
If source CAD file has undefined net name,ezCAM will assign the net as
$NONE$[serial number]
for distinction
Run Netlist Compare
-
Click "
Compare
" button to run
Check Results
Analyse Result will be shown in four category:
-
Shorted: short cause by unwanted connection of two nets
-
Broken: Net broken because of layout errors
-
