Board Drill Checks
Board Drill Checks
-
Board Drill Checks analyzes drill hole spacings in board layers and creates a report to list all the findings
-
Checks spacings for both drill and rout holes in the same layer
-
Board Drill Checks only provide analysis check, does not change layout content
-
Prerequisite:
-
Drill attribute
.drill
must be assigned to drill holes, to distinguish PTH/NPTH/Via holes
-
Drill and rout layer must be defined in the matrix

Parameters
-
Parameters values can be changed in the respective fields and saved in ERF
-
All values and settings shown in this guide is by default
-
Parameters interface are shown below :
Parameters:
Operation-Modes
-
Set spacing analysis target
-
Single :check spacing for features on the same layer
-
Cross :check spacing for features across layers
Check
-
Set multi layer analysis mode:
-
Board :analyze all board layers with drill holes
-
Affected :analyze affected layers only
Layer
-
Select drill layer to run analysis
First-Element-Type (Row 1)
-
Include Via holes in the analysis (drill hole with
.drill=via
attribute)
Second-Element-Type (Row 1)
-
Check to analysis spacing between Via holes and Via / PTH / NPTH / Rout
First-Element-Type (Row 2)
-
Include PTH holes in the analysis, (drill holes without
.drill
attribute,or with
.drill=plated
)
Second-Element-Type (Row 2)
-
Check to analysis spacing between PTH holes and PTH / NPTH / Rout holes
First-Element-Type (Row 3)
-
Include NPTH holes in the analysis (drill hole with
.drill=non_pated
attribute)
Second-Element-Type (Row 3)
-
Check to analysis spacing between NPTH holes and NPTH / Rout / Rout %
-
Rout % value: distance/radius*100
Use Compensated Rout
-
Choose methods to analysis rout
-
Yes:Use compensated rout for analysis
-
No:Use original rout for analysis
-
Skeleton:use rout skeleton for analysis
Set Range
Command :chklist
erf
range
-
Set range value for each analysis check items
-
There are three types of analysis result: Critical, Warning or Safe
