SMD Summary
SMD Summary
-
+ SMD Summary analyzes SMD pad on outer layers, creates report on SMD land and packages

Parameters
-
Parameters values can be changed in the respective fields and saved in ERF
-
All values and settings shown in this guide is by default
-
Parameters interface are shown below :
Parameters
Layer
-
Select layer to run analysis
Pad size min
Set minimum size for SMD pad
Stagger
Set minimum spacing for SMD pitch
Set Range
Command:chklist
erf
range
-
Set range value for each analysis check items
-
There are three types of analysis result: Critical, Warning or Safe
-
Default setting is avaialble for all parameters
-
Value can be changed in respective fields, and saved in ERF
-
See below picture for the Range interface:
Range
SMD Row
-
Set analysis result range for SMD rows, a row is formed by three or more SMD pad with the same spacing
SMD Pack
-
Set analysis result range for SMD pack, a SMD pack is formed by two matching rows, if two SMD pack shares the same center point, it can be considered as the same pack
Pad Too Small
-
Set analysis result range for detecting SMD size and pitch, reference value in
Pad size min
and
Stagger
Needs Staggering
-
Set analysis result range for pad average pitch in SMD pack, reference value in
Stagger
and detect pads that need staggering
-
Set analysis result range for SMD pad with pitch distance lower than average, based on value from
Max SMD ununiformity
,SMD pack with uneven pitch will be detected.
Picture Frames
-
Set analysis result range for detecting pad from SMD pack to be covered by solder mask of the same net
In Pitch SMDs
-
Set analysis result range for detecting SMD pad pitch is same as average pitch in SMD pack, based on value from
Max SMD ununiformity
Off Pitch SMDs
-
Set analysis result range for detecting SMD pad pitch is not the same as average pitch in SMD pack, based on value from
Max SMD ununiformity
PITCHxSIZE_ARx<pitch_value>x<size_value>
-
Set analysis result range for detecting SMD pad annular ring, based on pitch and pad size and arranged by pitch value
PITCHxSIZE_STRIPEx<pitch_value>x<size_value>
-
Set analysis result range for detecting spacing between SMD pad and solder mask pad , based on pitch and pad size and arranged by pitch value
SIZExPITCH_ARx<size_value>x<pitch_value>
-
Set analysis result range for detecting SMD pad annular ring, based on pitch and pad size and arranged by size value
SIZExPITCH_STRIPEx<size_value>x<pitch_value>
-
Set analysis result range for detecting spacing between SMD pad and solder mask pad , based on pitch and pad size and arranged by size value
Set Advance Variables
-
Parameters values can be changed in the respective fields and saved in ERF
-
All values and settings shown in the examples is by default
-
Parameters interface are shown below :
Max SMD size
Set maximum size for SMD pad, pad with size over this value will be excluded from analysis
Rounding value applied to results
Set rounding value for analysis items, this setting will be applied to
PITCHxSIZE_STRIPE
、
PITCHxSIZE_AR
、
SIZExPITCH_STRIPE
、
SIZExPITCH_AR
Set tolerance value for pitch distance, if any pitch in a SMD pack has higher value, the pack will be considered as uneven
Sort by pitch
Set the order of analysis item, use
PITCHxSIZE_STRIPE
、
PITCHxSIZE_AR
to arrange by pitch value, use
SIZExPITCH_STRIPE
、
SIZExPITCH_AR
to arrange by size value
Run SMD Summary
